RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SEPTEMBER 9, 2023 (IT IS THE RESULT OF HIS LOVE)
TOPIC : IT IS THE RESULT OF HIS LOVE
Today’s Scripture: Psalm 8:4
4 What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him?
MESSAGE
When you ponder on the words of the Psalmist in our opening scripture, you’ll come to one amazing conclusion: God loves man. The Psalmist was awed at God’s consummate and everlasting love for man.
How do you even begin to comprehend it; that the great God of glory, the Monarch of the universe, the maker of heaven and earth, would, not just “visit” man, but make man His dwelling place? It’s such an amazing reality. The Bible says the Angels are still looking into it; they’re unable to figure it out.
But it’s God’s love for us that made it possible. 1 John 3:1 says, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God….” Then in Colossians 1:27, it says, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
God Himself has tabernacled in us so that we are no longer ordinary beings but divine beings. Now we are full of God. That was God’s plan from the foundation of the world. That was the mystery, which was hidden for ages and from generations, which has now been made manifest to the saints. Hallelujah!
The fact that this was God’s plan and will for us is further revealed in Ephesians 3:17-19. It says, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.” Blessed be God! Think about that! It’s all the result of His love for us to be filled with all the fullness of God as Jesus was filled with the fullness of God. How He loves us!
PRAYER
Dear Father, your love is overwhelming as demonstrated through the vicarious death of Jesus Christ on our behalf. I walk every day in and with the consciousness of your indwelling presence; thank you for making me a vent of your liquid love to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

16 And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.
