The Topic of Goodnews Daily Devotional for 17th February 2022 Is “Power In Prayer”

Today’s  Scripture: Ephesians 3:20

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 17TH FEBRUARY 2022.

A person of the Word is more powerful than a person of prayer. God never gave power to prayer. God has power, and He gave that power to the Christian who prays. Prayer has no power whatsoever, and there is no such thing as a powerful prayer. When you plug your lamp or device into a power outlet, the electrical current runs through the cables and supplies power to that device or appliance. The cables are not the real power; they simply direct power to the thing that needs power. Prayer is like the cable. It is not the source of power.

It directs power from the source to where you want it to have impact.
Now, a person of the Word will be driven to prayer. The Word in you induces prayer, and the power in you is transferred in your words. A Wordless Christian is a powerless Christian. Their prayer lacks power. Prayer is proseuche, which means the Word in you is what comes out when you pray. The problem is a lot of Christians do not have enough of the Word in them.

That is why they can pray for hours on top of a mountain, and no wonders without number take place. Every prayer must be a prayer of faith. But without the Word, faith is not there because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Go for the Word, and the Word in you will produce the power in prayer you need.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I have the best relationship with God. I am powerful because God is in me. I am a person of the Word, ‘unctionized’ for prayer, and whatever God says is what I say.
