Message
Some job applicants were invited for an interview scheduled to hold by 10.00am. At 10.00am, the secretary addressed them to prepare. By 12.00 noon, one of the panel members addressed them to be patient that they will be attended to soon. By 4.00pm, all of the applicants except one had left in annoyance. And by 5.00pm, the company’s director came to address the only applicant left that the criteria required for the job was patience and endurance.
The Israelites were faced with two great challenges the Red Sea ahead and the Egyptian army behind. They had never experienced the parting of a sea before, so how this victory will come no one knows. Waiting and doing nothing in anticipation of a promise is often the most daunting challenge. It requires absolute trust in the ability and the integrity of the one who promised.
Waiting and doing nothing means we surrender all to the One who is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. Having repented of sins, fasted, prayed and praised, then you need to wait and do nothing more. Hold on, your miracle is on the way!
Insight: Waiting is the expression of your absolute trust in the ability of God, so wait!
Prayer: Lord, I need more patience not to walk away before my miracle.
