LETTERS TO YOUNG MINISTERS OF SONS, FATHERS AND NOMADISM IN MINISTRY BY PASTOR FISAYO ADENIYI
OVERVIEW
So, he came to me seeking fatherhood in ministry, he sat down very humble and meek, he had left his former pastor/father because he had disagreed with him not on doctrine but on discipline. The man was manipulative, a bad influence and even more. Was he right? Maybe! But THAT IS NOT THE POINT, the point is he was fine with all of this until he was disciplined for a wrong done and removed from position.
I HAVE ZERO REGARD FOR THOSE WHO CHANGE FATHERS LIKE PAMPERS IN MINISTRY. Because I have discovered that most times it is not about the fathers, but about the character of these people. I haven’t yet found a perfect being in ministry, if you have please let me know, so that fathers will have ‘BUT’, it is the HEART OF SONSHIP TO COVER IT.
But I have discovered that people rarely change fathers based on doctrine; they do principally based on DISCIPLINE, CORRECTION, DISAGREEMENT, and A SEARCH FOR MORE ANOINTED AND MORE GLORIOUS MINISTERS – like nomads and herdsmen what drives their movement is GREENER PASTURES. They are using brain to do ministry, playing lotto with their destiny.
A real and crude manifestation of the flesh, but ministry is highly spiritual. This Nomads have no regard for the ways of God – just selfish ambition and pride drives them. They would submit to a Sorcerer in as much as he keeps telling them what they want to hear, but the moment the real work starts – they move, and that is why THERE IS A SLOW YET SERIOUS FADE AWAY OF MANY MINISTERS AND MINISTRIES.
No one becomes anything in the Kingdom that way, in the Kingdom 3 underlying principles as it concerns relationship are TRUST, COMMITMENT AND LOYALTY. Timothy never decamped to John, Titus never left for Peter. Someone says, how do I know my father, FATHERHOOD IS BY SPIRITUAL BIRTHING OR BY SPIRITUAL NURTURING. One of the two must be in place.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:15, “For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”
Again you may have many instructors or mentors, you may even change mentors like clothes, but you have only one father. One!
Can I change my father? Yes, but only on serious ground of doctrinal error, serious disagreement that has destroyed trust (this should never be allowed to happen)or when divinely instructed of God – I don’t mean all these flimsy flesh birthed oracles, “God has been dealing with me…blah, blah”. God’s leading must align with God’s principles in scriptures.
Dear Minister, enough of herdsmen behavior in ministry. Sons of God must start behaving like true sons. Stay where God has put you, the pasture is not as green as you think on the other side. Grace to you!
Your Greatness is Assured,
Pastor Fisayo Adeniyi
