Topic: MOSES SINGS OF GOD’S TRIUMPH
Bible Text: Exodus 15:1-10
“Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD ‘I will sing to the LORD for He is highly exalted. Both horses and the driver He has hurled into the sea’” Exodus 15:1, NIV
I read an article about a young Christian soldier who was confident of his faith in Christ and persuaded others about the power and miracle in the name of Jesus. One day, his boss gave him the key of his car that he should re-park it.
The officer told the boss he had never learnt how to drive, so the boss said, if truly his God is miraculous, he should help him to drive the car, otherwise he will be killed. The young soldier prayed in his heart, took the key and re-parked the car in few minutes. Then the boss said truly your God is miraculous because that car had no engine.
Moses and the entire Israelites were miraculously delivered from the fang of death. Just like a flash of light, the sea gave way for them to move on, and the Egyptian armies are no longer in sight. These unprecedented miracles incited praises from Moses who led the people in singing to the Lord.
Believers should be appreciative of the providence of God that disperses their fears. Our victory must elicit praises to the Lord in gratitude for His intervention. Determine to sing praises to God always.
Insight: Gratefulness for one act of kindness brings greater ones.
Prayer: Lord, You are my help, the Mighty One in battle.
