TOPIC: THE HOUSE OF THE LORD
Bible Text: Psalm 122
”I rejoiced with those who said let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1, NIV
MESSAGE
No one ever thought that history will be repeated in the year 2020 (Covid-19 outbreak), like it happened in the 1950s when the whole world had to stay at home because of a pandemic. Churches were closed down and people were left to fellowship in their homes.
The house of the Lord is a place where fullness of joy dwells; a place of peace, deliverance and dedicated to the worship of God. Today’s passage is a reflection of a heart that longs for the presence of God. In God’s presence we have the opportunity to meet other children of God and lay our petitions before God.
Some people are indifferent about going to Church because they have no relationship with God or are discouraged for various reasons. Our lives are a reflection of what or who we value and worship. Those who value God will find His presence comforting and refreshing. Every believer is meant to be a house of God and carry His presence.
The Lord seeks for those that will treasure the presence of God and approach Him with a sense of gladness. Do you carry God’s presence? Can people find answers to their problems through you? Shine your light of God’s presence for all to see.
Insight: As long as you have the Spirit of God in you, then you are the house of the Lord.
Prayer: God, let me dwell in Your presence always.
