SEEK DAILY (NBC) DAILY DEVOTIONAL October 30, 2021 (MAKING MELODY TO GOD)
TOPIC: MAKING MELODY TO GOD
Bible Text: Psalm 149“…Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.” Psalm 149:1, NIV
We make melody to God because He is worthy and not because we desire to get a reward from it. Making melody to the Lord is not something we should do once in a while but as part of our daily living. Today’s passage reveals that worship is dynamic. It is not stereotyped. We can praise with shouting, dancing, and making music with melody of instruments in praise of Him.
Praise is a weapon for spiritual warfare (vs. 6). Through the potent weapon of worship, we can execute God’s verdict and vengeance against the operations of the kingdom of darkness. It is also a potent spiritual force that connects humanity to the wonders of divinity.
When you sing melodious praises to the Lord, a double-edged sword to execute God’s verdict is in your hands. Take out some minutes to offer quality praise to God for who He is and what He has done. Beloved, as you make melody unto God through praise this day, may you experience all-round triumph over all the forces in contention with your God-ordained destiny!
Insight: Praise is a potent weapon to execute divine vengeance against the forces of evil
Prayer: Lord, I receive the garment of praise. As I praise, I experience all-round triumph.
RBT Passage: Luke 21-22
