SCRIPTURE UNION DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR NOVEMBER 13, 2022 (RESPECTFULLY BUT FIRMLY DEFENDING YOUR CAUSE)
TOPIC : RESPECTFULLY BUT FIRMLY DEFENDING YOUR CAUSE
Opening Prayer: Lord, I pray that you lead me into your truth as I meditate on your word in Jesus name.
Scripture: Acts 24:10‐21
Question(s) for Reflection• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow?
MESSAGE
Read vs.14 &15 again and meditate on the tremendous transformation that an encounter with the Lord Jesus can produce in any and every person. (“The way” in v.14 was then referred to the followers of Jesus drawn from John 14:6. To the Jews, Christianity was a sect or a “misguided” belief.) Has your relationship with Jesus produced such a transformation in your life and attitude? This may be an opportunity for a rededication and fresh commitment to the Lord. Do people around you similarly misunderstand the Christian faith?
For Further StudyRead Matthew 25:31‐46 and Revelations 5 for an understanding of what Jesus revealed about the resurrection of the dead, for which Paul was facing so much persecution from the religious leaders of his day.
• Any new insight or reinforcement of what you already know?
Closing Prayer• Dear Lord Jesus, help me to daily live my life with the realization that death is not the end of everything.
Offer a prayer of faith in line withJeremiah 29:14; Luke 9, 10; Romans 6; Psalms 118
