The Highest Level of Prayer – knocking
Put it in record today that you blessed a life “by sharing this article now“.
Again, the prayer of knocking is one of the three levels of prayer mentioned by Jesus Christ during the sermon on the mount and it is the highest level of prayer. On that day, Jesus talked about the prayer of asking, he talked about that of seeking and lastly, the prayer of knocking. Now, there exists asking, seeking and knocking but of all these three, the highest is knocking.
In our last article which speaks about seeking, the superiority of seeking over asking was clearly outlined. In case you are yet to read that powerful article, please click here to do so now.
Seeking and knocking are somewhat similar but knocking is a bit superior to seeking. It is seeking that leads to knocking and the essence of seeking is so one can find, but it’s not in all seeking that you will find readily; some seeking will lead you to doors that lead to where what you are looking for is. For you to find such, you must knock. One who seeks and meets doors, but turns back at that point is almost not better than one who didn’t bother to seek at all.
There are series of dimensions in the Spirit realm. For a man to be caught up from one chamber to another, the fellow really needs to do series of knocking. In 2Cor. 12:2, Paul spoke of a man caught up to the third heaven. The man could never have gone that far if he had not continued knocking until he got to the third heaven. In short, the prayer of knocking is prayed by seekers and it is done by tarrying.
In summary, man must pray. Whether asking, seeking or knocking, this is our confidence whenever we pray – He hears us! If you are not knocking yet, please seek; if you are not seeking yet; please ask, failure to do any of these after Jesus has given us an open cheque – ask and it shall be given…; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened unto you, you are doing nothing but shortchanging yourself.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Luke 11:10)
Brethren, let us not just teach prayer; let us not just learn prayer, let us not just love prayer. Let us pray!!!
