TEEVO FOR 21ST MAY 2022 (YOU’RE CHRIST’S PROPERTY)
TOPIC: “YOU’RE CHRIST’S PROPERTY (You Belong To The Lord Jesus Christ)”
Scripture: Galatians 2:20 NASB
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
You might have heard Christians say: “I’ve given my life to Christ.” It’s a total surrender of oneself to Christ. The declaration of Apostle Paul in Galatians 2:20 shows one of the greatest revelations of the new creation— the “you” that existed before Christ has ceased to live. The life of the old “you” has been replaced with God’s divine life, and you now live a carefree life because you’ve given Christ the right to rule and reign over your life.
Though this happens at the point of salvation, not many of God’s children walk in the consciousness of this reality. If you’re born again, you no longer own your life because you’ve been bought with a price; you’re therefore to glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s (1 Corinthians 6:20). It’s now your responsibility to learn through the Word, how He wants you to live. This is what John the Baptist meant when he said: “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).
It means Christ must have pre-eminence because He is Lord over your life. Those who allow Christ to have the pre-eminence in their lives are those who have truly yielded to the Holy Ghost. They live above the world and its system because Christ is risen in them. Make a conscious decision today to give Christ His due place in your life. Refuse to hold anything back from Him because He’s able to make you and help you accomplish a lot more than you could do on your own. This is the secret to living in consistent victory, dominion, health and prosperity—living for Christ!
1 Corinthians 3:23; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
I’m crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ lives in me because the life I now live in the body, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. He’s my Lord, my King and my all. Christ is my life, in Him I live and move and have my being. Hallelujah!
