Bible Text: Jude 20-25
TOPIC: GLORY TO GOD NOW AND FOREVER
“To the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and for evermore! Amen.” Jude 25, NIV
Every Christian has a responsibility to guard his faith from contamination as we rely on God’s power to remain in Him. Jude concluded his central message to believers who were confronted with false teachings that have perverted the Gospel and led many astray. He urged them to stay in the love of God, and build
up their faith.
Jude in his closing remark solidifies these truths in beautiful doxologies: (1) God can keep us from eternal stumbling away from the faith by His power; (2) He can present us blameless in Him; and (3) He can bless us with great joy. God protects and preserves us with His eternal glory, majesty, dominion and authority from eternity past, present and future. This should thrill us to praise Him.
God demonstrates His preserving work as you follow in the steps of Jesus Christ and makes you spiritually successful in the face of great trials that contend with your faith. Is there any addictive sin you are struggling with? Seek the help of the Lord. Beloved, you are not left alone in the battles of life; the Holy Spirit is always there to help you. Do not forget to give glory to God now and forever.
Insight: The best insurance is found in Christ alone. He has paid the premium with His blood.
