Bible Text: Matthew 9:32-34
TOPIC: JESUS RESTORES SPEECH TO MUTE MAN
“And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.” Matthew 9:33, NIV
People differ in their value systems and in their perspectives on issues. Who you are is determined by what you cherish and do. Jesus’ preoccupation was to set people free from bondage and do amazing things among men and women but most human beings care less about the freedom and peace of the weak. Others unwittingly work with the devil to oppress others.
In the text, we see that the man’s inability to talk was due to the demon that possessed him. His helpers knew the right place to get the help that the man needed. Hence, they took him to Jesus who restored the man’s ability to speak.
*Christ is still in the business of restoring the blessings that the devil has taken away from us, if we approach Him in faith. He specializes in doing amazing things, and He will do it in your life if you come to Him. You can take your loved ones to Him in prayers as the mute man was taken to Him. Like He did it for the man and those who brought him, He will do yours for you.*
Talk to Him today and you will receive your request by faith.
Insight: Who you are is determined by what you cherish most (tangible or intangible).
