Bible Text: Psalm 16
TOPIC: FULLNESS OF JOY
“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalm 16:11, NIV
Often, when we suddenly encounter God’s presence and glory in an extraordinary way in the place of worship, we exclaim in awe. Such feeling is triggered from within our soul in response to God’s love. At such a time, we have caught a glimpse of eternity in our hearts in worship.
The psalmist draws our focus to the importance of God’s presence. Praise is a spiritual activity that ushers in the manifest presence of God. As we praise, He reveals Himself to us, we are imparted with the fullness of joy that flows from
His presence and satisfied with eternal pleasures (vs. 11). A man who lives a lifestyle of praise will hear God’s voice releasing vital instructions for life’s direction to him. You cannot be a carrier of God’s presence and not enjoy safety, preservation, and life of triumph as your portion.
Beloved, there is a path of life designed to usher you into the fullness of joy. He who seeks fellowship with God’s presence has chosen the path of unending joy. Joy has curative power, for it is a spiritual medication offered to us by the presence of God. Let your heart be full of joy in God’s presence.
Insight: The presence of God lifts burdens, heals diseases and ushers in the fullness of joy.
Prayer: Lord, everywhere I appear, may depression and gloom disappear.
