Bible Text: Psalm 86:1-11
TOPIC: ALL THE NATIONS WILL GLORIFY GOD
“All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, LORD; they will bring glory to your name.” Psalm 86:9, NIV
The great desire in the heart of God is that all people from every tribe will embrace His saving grace and come to Him in worship. It is for His honour that everyone brings glory to His name in worship.
God’s intent is for all people to encounter His abounding love and for them to be transformed to love, obey and worship Him for who He is (vv. 5-6). For this to be possible, God reveals Himself in the Bible through His awesome deeds towards mankind (vs. 8b), and man is expected to respond to this revelation as he is invited into relationship with Him, because there is none like Him in all the earth (vs. 8a). Reverencing God’s name empowers us to walk in His way and His truth (vs. 11).
Beloved, the ultimate desire of God is for all nations to respond to His loving and wonderful deeds by glorifying Him through worship. He is interested in you irrespective of who you are and what you have done. He is ready to give you a fresh start in Him. Make Him the Lord of your life this day so that you can also glorify Him.
Insight: God’s desire is that all men will worship Him. Do not hesitate in giving Him worship.
Prayer: Lord, I submit my will to You. Be Lord over my life.
