TEXT: EPHESIANS 2:1-10
“But, because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.”- Ephesians 2:4-5, NIV
MESSAGE
Mr Daniel was a drunkard and a cheat, always coming home late and drunk. One day, he came back with an injury which he sustained in an accident a result of his drunkenness.
He met his wife and children where they were praying to God to deliver him from all evil and sinful activities. He broke down confessed his sins and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. His family members were grateful to God for his repentance.
No man can save or deliver himself from sin. Paul reveals that we were dead in sins and transgressions and we were disobedient, always walking in all manner of waywardness. God provided our (salvation) by grace alone and not by any human effort. The gift of salvation gives us the opportunity to seat with Christ in the heavenly places and as God’s handiwork, created in Christ to do good works.
Friend, have you given your life to Jesus? What about hypocrisy, immorality, and other atrocities you are committing? What about those lies, double dating? No man can save himself; come to Jesus today. His loving hands are widely open to receive you.
