TOPIC: ACT IN WAYS THAT PRESERVE THE FAITH
“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised” Hebrews 10:36, NIV
Bible Text: Hebrews 10:23-36
Message
The underground church is “a fellowship of believers who continue to serve Christ while under siege.” These believers are hated without reason. They endured great hardship and suffering. In desperate times, they developed desperate measures. Sometimes it is in a cave they worshipped together, and sometimes in the desert. They acted in ways that affirmed their faith.
The same is true for believers that the book of Hebrew was addressed to. For them to hold on to the hope they have in God, they must never forget to gather themselves, and stop sinning. They must act in a way that will not disregard the grace of sanctification they have received through the blood of Jesus Christ. Believers must persevere to the end to receive God’s promise for those who endure to the end.
In our days, our faith is being tested in diverse ways that could be different from that of the underground church or the early church. God did not promise that our faith will be free of turbulence but He said that He will be with us till the end. Let the world around you know about your faith. One of the ways to preserve the faith is to birth it in others. Act in ways that preserve the faith at all times.
