TOPIC : BORN TO WITNESS CHRIST
Opening Prayer: Dear Lord, make me more like you through the power of your word as I meditate on it.

Question(s) for Reflection
• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow?
• What truth is God revealing to me in this passage?
MESSAGE
In this second letter of Paul to Timothy, notice how he introduces himself and identifies his mission and audience (v.1). Realizing that God created him to be Christ’s missionary (vs.3,9), Paul pursued his mission with zeal, even defying prison chains. Similarly, you were born to be a witness for Christ. Genuine salvation should drive us to share the gospel with others (see John 4:28,29).
When last did you share your faith with others? What else does Paul stress in vs.9,10? See the role of parental example in Timothy’s life (v.5). The home should play a primary role in children’s evangelism and discipleship. Is this true of yours? Read vs.6‐10 again and point out other important instructions to Timothy. Think of his commands in vs.13,14 and put them into practice.
Onesiphorus’ family were great encouragers to Paul hence his prayers for, and expression of deep gratitude to them in vs.16‐18. In like manner, many suffering Christians will appreciate our prayer support and messages of encouragement where possible.
Practice/Word Application
Reflection: Mediate on v.12 and be an encouragement to someone today.
