Question(s) for Reflection
• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow?
Christian integrity is a subject that ought to be frequently visited among believers. The absence of this has ridiculed and put a serious question mark on the testimony of Christians. Read v.1 and observe the basis for the Psalmist’s prayer and call for vindication. Many of us fast and pray with defiled hearts and hands, un‐confessed sins, hatred, etc. and still expect God to answer.
If the Lord examines us in the light of v.2, what will He find? Read vs.4‐6 again and reflect on the quality of lives expected of men/women of integrity. We need to wash our hands (confess our sins) before approaching the altar of God. Vs.7‐8 reflect a life lived in integrity. Observe also the prayer of a man of integrity in vs.9‐11. We live in times when Christians cherish and accommodate the company of evil men and even those who mock the Gospel.
Let us ask God to redeem us and be merciful to us as individuals, families, church and fellowship. It is then that our feet will stand on level ground and be in a position to render acceptable praise and worship to the Lord our God.
And so? People of integrity are urgently wanted in our churches, fellowships and the society. Pray that God may find you worthy and be the Joseph and Daniel of our generation.
