SCRIPTURE UNION DAILY GUIDE DEVOTIONAL FOR JULY 13, 2022 (FOLLOW YOUR LEADER)

TOPC : FOLLOW YOUR LEADER

Opening Prayer: Oh Lord, grant me spiritual insight into the truth of your word as I study it.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:10‐17

Question(s) for Reflection
• What does the passage teach about God the Father, or God the Son or God the Holy Spirit?
• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow?

A leader is usually an influential, well‐proven or tested personality. Vs.10‐11 of our text show Paul as one such open‐minded Christian, whose walk (life) and work we all must not hesitate to follow. What aspect of him should we always reflect on (vs.11‐13)? Life in union with Christ is a gateway to trials. If God is our faithful deliverer, then, the reassuring but obvious facts in vs.11 and 14 should encourage us to be responsible believers, to endure suffering, as well as continue to grow in the faith!

Meditate on vs.15‐17 and Romans 1:16. Do you accept the Bible as God’s inspired word? Do you know, or are you by faith experiencing the truth and power in God’s word? To get the best from it, we should meditate on and apply it to our lives on a daily basis. It is by this same means that Christ defeated the Tempter (Matthew 4:4; 4:7: 4:10). It is the only route of victory for us too.

Practice/Word Application
