RCCG OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DECEMBER 20, 2021 (RECREATING YOURSELF)
TOPIC: Recreating Yourself
Memorise: Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:28
Read: Genesis 1:26-27
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God, the master sculptor of all time, created everything alone but when it was time to make man, He used the pronoun we which means the other members of the God Head – God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, were involved in the creation of man because he is a masterpiece.
Tell yourself, I am Gods masterpiece. If you’re considering tattooing any part of your body, you’d better stop that thought now. Whether you are a male or female, you were formed by the Best. Why strive to become an inferior version of God by recreating yourself? Psalm 139:14 says:
“I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
When you bleach your skin or place tattoos on your body, you are telling God that He didn’t create you well. It also indicates that you have an inferiority complex. God made you perfectly, be comfortable in your skin.
Bleaching or tattooing does not make you more beautiful.

Hymns: All things bright and beautiful
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.
The purple-headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset, and the morning
That brightens up the sky.
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
