TOPIC: No Impossibility with God
MEMORISE:
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” – (Luke 1:37)
READ: 2 Kings 2:10 (KJV)
10. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing; nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
MESSAGE:
Nothing can be too difficult for God because according to Psalm 62:11, power belongs to Him. Jesus also confirms this in Matthew 28:18 “…saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
God can do anything because He has unlimited power and resources. I know this because God says of Himself in Haggai 2:8 “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine…” How influential a person is can also determine how he or she can affect your situation. (2 Kings 4:8-17) bears record of a rich woman who took care of Elisha and his servant.
When Elisha wanted to say “thank you” for her hospitality, the woman said she needed nothing because not only was she wealthy, she also had influential relatives. Yet, her ‘influence’ could not remove her barrenness. The prophet of God who she had served spoke a word; the Almighty God honoured it and gave her a baby boy. Our God is the Most Influential.
In (2 Kings 2:10), Elisha realized that he could get his request if only he could see Elijah being taken to Heaven. As a child of God, you must have a focus: You must always look up unto God, and Him alone, for help (Psalm 121:1-2). In Ephesians 1:19-21, we see that God’s power is exceedingly abundant towards us. If you look down, you are likely to see only problems, like Peter who began to sink when he lost focus in Matthew 14:26-31.
If you look around, you are likely to see other people with problems similar to yours and then become complacent in seeking solutions. If David had looked around, he would have lost focus on the God of Israel who delivered him from the lion and the bear. He would have chickened out of the battlefield like others. You are likely to become what you focus your attention on.
When I attended Kenneth Hagin’s Camp meeting many years ago, what I saw encouraged me to work towards having a large congregation of saved and Heaven-bound believers. My aspiration became even bigger when I visited Yongi Cho’s Church in South Korea shortly after. To the glory of God, we have been making progress ever since. Remember, there is no impossibility with God.
ACTION POINT:
Focus on God and what He is capable of doing for you, not what you can do on your own, or by your strength. Ask for something really big.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Judges 20-21
HYMNAL:
HYMN 23 – STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING
Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring:
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
REFRAIN:
Standing, Standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Saviour;
Standing, Standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail
By the living word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call,
Resting in my Saviour as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

MFM Daily Devotional 26 May 2021 Outline
Growing godly children involves depending on God in prayer. It is possible to pray and not really depend on God, but it is not possible to depend on God without praying.

In Luke 18:1, Jesus emphasised the need to persist in prayer until the answer comes. Keep on praying for your children and keep your requests constant before God as we live for him day by day. When you live by faith, you are not to give up praying for your children.
Your prayer for your children will make a long impact on them in their present life, tomorrow and their future. When time of difficulties arises, don’t worry or fret. Instead of worrying, pray and let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns about them
The Bible is repelete with examples of parents that prayed for their children. Abraham prayed for Isaac and he prospered. Jochebed prayed for Moses and he was not killed with the verdict of the king. David prayed for Solomon and God was with him. His fame was known throughout the whole world.
Isaac prayed for Jacob. He later became Israel and the father of 12 tribes in Israel. Beloved, it is very important to pray for our children day and night. Later, you will marvel on what God will do in their lives. If Samson’s parents had intensified effort praying for him, he wouldn’t have died with his enemies.
Unfortunately, his parents gave up. You must not give up on your children, no mater how difficult the situation may be. As a praying parent, here are some areas in which you can target your prayer:
(1) Pray that they will come to know Christ as Saviour in life (John 17:3) and pray for your grandchildren too.
(2) Pray that they will be willing to make a total commitment to the Lord.
(3) Pray that he will not only be their Saviour but Lord of their lives as well.
(4) Pray that they will have a hatred for sin (Psalm 97:10).
(5) Pray that they will be caught when guilty (Psalm 119:71) and that bad behaviour in their lives will be nipped in the bud before it gets so cheaply ingrained.
So rise up now and pray for your children.
Motivational Quote
Your children can run from you, from their upbringing, from the church But, they can never run away from your prayers!!. Keep praying.
Prophetic Word
Your children shall cling to the Lord in all their trails; your prayers on them will not fall to the ground in vain, in the name of Jesus.
HYMN – O Store God
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy pow’r thruout the universe displayed!
Chorus:
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When thru the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze,
