TOPIC: God Visits Dunghills
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 2:7-8
7. The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
8. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he hath set the world upon them.
Memorise: “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.” Haggai 2:8
I had a friend in 1956 who was very poor like me. We looked out for every obituary party so we could attend and get some food there.One day However, my friends story changed. He went to do a labourer’s job and as he was digging the ground, he suddenly heard a strange sound. Out of curiosity, he dug a little further and hit a big pot of gold coins that must have been buried and forgotten there years before. On visiting the goldsmith, each gold coin was highly priced.
That was how poverty ended in the life of a 14-year old and his family. Are you in a dunghill and wondering if God will ever pay you a visit there? He says Yes! Years ago, my father was considered poor among many poor men; indeed, his most prized possession till his death was an umbrella but God visited me his son and changed my story. I decree that God will visit you in your dunghill and you will be placed among princes in Jesus name.
Point: Father, lead me to where abundant treasure is and relocate me from the dunghill to the throne.

THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING
1. There shall be showers of
This is the promise of love;
There shall be
Sent from the Saviour above.
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
2. There shall be showers of
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
3. There shall be showers of
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honour Thy
4. There shall be showers of
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God
Now as on Jesus we call!
5. There shall be showers
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be
If we let God have His way.
