Message
Immediately you gve your life to Christ and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you automatically receive a mandatory call of God upon your Iife to tell others about Christ. ft is a general call for all bon again children of God. Evangelism is a great commission; it is a compulsory assignment for all believers. You were saved to save others. You can evangelize anywhere at any time as long as you are willing and have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit
You can use a variety of tools for evangelism: the Bible, tracts, etc. There are various methods of evangelism that people and churches use to share Jesus with others, but each one has its own strengths and weaknesses. The one that works best is the one that is most comfortable for each person and most appropriate for each situation. Evangelism is as simple as telling others your conversion story.
Some evangelism methods include bus, mass, house to house, visitation and rural, hospital, police and cell, football, beach, morning cry, coastal/riverine, tract war, megaphone/holy noise, lifestyle and solution evangelism. Lifestyle evangelism simply means ‘live right and people will see the gospel in you’ and ‘live right and people will ask about your God’.
This method is built on the foundation of how one lives, with the idea that one’s life will lead others to Christ, or at least lead others to ask about Him. It encourages you to live a righteous and self-evaluation life in accordance with the scriptures.
Lifestyle evangelism is best summed up in a phrase live heard many times: “My life is my witness” (Act 1:8). As a child of God, is your lfe pointing others to Christ? Can you be referred to as Christian in the house where you live, in your environment, in your place of work and even in your family? The disciples were called Christians’ in Antioch because people saw Jesus in their behaviour (Act 11:26).
In case you have completely neglected soul winning or have been performing poorly in it, turn a new leaf today. With the help of the Holy Spirit, set a goal on how many souls you want to win and disciple for the Lord weekly, monthly and yearly. Always remember that you were saved to save others.
