GOODNEWS DAILY FOR FEBRUARY 16, 2022 (THE LESSON OF SMALL THINGS)
Today’s Scripture: Zechariah 4:10
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 16TH FEBRUARY 2022.
There is a word that says, “I’d rather see a small thing rising up than a big thing tumbling down.” There is something to be learned from small things. The Word of God says we should not despise small starts. And again, He says if you are faithful in little, you will be ruler over much. Small things train and prepare you for bigger things. You will not hold a million dollars until you learn what to do with ten dollars. Your ministry will not grow to tens of thousands until you know how to faithfully steward two or three. Your business will not scale to six- or seven- figures until you learn how to successfully manage it when it is a four- or five-figure business.
It is in the small things that the mettle of your character is tested, so that when big things are handed over to your care, you will not embarrass God or yourself. Do not covet what your character has not prepared you for, and do not look down upon your humble beginnings. That is what the Word is saying to you today. The only time God ever looked down on you was when He stooped down in mercy to raise you up in Grace. Never look down on yourself. Lift up your eyes and see yourself in the mirror of God’s Word. Commit your works to the Lord, no matter how small, and He will establish them. As you are faithful in the small things, God will make you ruler over much.
I am persistent and consistent in my endeavours. I am set on the course I must follow, and I run this race with patience. I do not fail or falter, for God is with me.
