The Topic of Goodnews Daily Devotional for 24th February 2022 Is “Location Matters”

Today’s  Scripture: Hebrews 12:22

But ye are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.

GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 24TH FEBRUARY 2022.

There is a story about a baby eagle that fell from its nest. It was found by a chicken farmer who took it to his farm and raised it in a chicken coop with the rest of his chickens. As the eagle grew, as much as it was born to soar as king of the skies, it walked on the ground believing it was just like the chickens. Then, one day, a naturalist came by the farm and recognised that this was an eagle, not a chicken. He lifted the eagle onto a fence and said, “You are an eagle. Spread your wings and fly.” The eagle looked down from the fence, saw the other chickens, and jumped down to resume its chicken-like behaviour.

The naturalist decided to try again. This time, he took the eagle away from that location and took it to a mountain where it could not see the farm, the coop, or the other chickens. He held the eagle on his arm, pointed to the sky and said, “You are an eagle. You belong to the sky, not the earth. Spread your wings and fly!” The eagle looked up at the sky, stretched its massive wings, and with a mighty screech, it flew.

Every Christian is in Mount Zion, a real world in a spiritual location. But most do not realise they are there. Why? It is because you have spent your life among normal human beings, and like the eagle that was raised with chickens, you think you are like them. But you are not of this world; you belong to Zion. The Bible says, “Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God!” That is where you are. You have grown up learning a lot about Earth. Now you need to get into the Word and find out about your true location, Zion. Increase your consciousness of it, and your life will begin to soar.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I am a supernatural Christian born for the high life. I live far above fear and failure in the realm of multiplied favour, promotion, and increase. I am a citizen of Zion, a well-protected and wealthy place in Christ.
