CHANNELS OF FULFILMENT DEVOTIONAL FEBRUARY 15, 2022 (Just do it like Christ. (Part 2))
TOPIC: Just do it like Christ. (Part 2)
TEXT: (Ephesians 2 vs. 1 – 10)
Welcome to God’s presence, in continuation of yesterday’s story, (you can read yesterday’s devotion for better understanding). …cult fight erupts in that area at least 3 times in a week. It was so bad that residents around came to beg his MD that when it’s 1am they should switch off the hospital generator so that when gunshot sounds, they can hear and lie down on the ground. That night was one of them. He don’t want to talk about how he, the nurses and the patience lay on the floor. It was a very big night.
The interesting part is that at about 4am a patience was rushed in, with a horrible forearm gunshot injury. He had bled till he was just hanging on a thin line. The doctor (him) rushed over to intervene. Behold it was one of the men who dealt with him the previous night and collected all his money. He looked at him, the robber looked back at him. He looked at the robber back. They looked at each other. Not minding, the doctor swung into action. Established haerostasis, stabilized.
There was an indication for blood transfusion so he gave him one pint of blood. When he was discharged, he couldn’t look at the doctor. The doctor said I have forgiven you, 2 days later he brought back his wallet with 6k inside. He was never attacked again since that day anytime he walked passed you will hear, “Clear road for Dockay”. When people are bad to you punish them with kindness, that is exactly what Jesus would do. All you need to win more souls around you is to be the man Jesus was; always forgive and ignore. God defends his own.
All those enemies of yours that you have not worked for their defeat even though they seem to fight you, Jehovah will engage in your fight. A.W Tozer said, “When I understand that everything happening to me is to make me more Christ like. It resolves a great deal of anxiety”.
Digest this, “Nothing teaches us about the preciousness of the creator as much as when we learn the emptiness of everything else” (Charles H Spurgeon). Verse 10 of today’s scripture, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”. It is God’s work in us that classifies us for greatness. God bless you, Amen!
PRAYER:
- Oh God I thank you for your word to me.
- Father, arise and give the character of you and the grace to be like you.
- Oh God, give me the patience that waits on people.
