CHANNELS OF FULFILMENT DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR MAY 23RD 2022 (WAIT FOR THE TIME)
TOPIC: Wait for the time.
Text: (Psalm 1 vs. 6)
MESSAGE
Throughout my days with God I have been able to sit in observation of the person of God; His ways, choice and will. As a lay man could say, that sometimes God might even ask you to do the impossible and wait for the outcome.
Oh yes, do that which looks uneasy and see the impact. There are many difficult things we have likely done on our own, that we are not really sure if it was God but probably our choices have chosen that. Most of the human sufferings are as a result of going where God does not recommend and doing what God did not ask you to do.
My Father in the Lord told us a story of how He opened a branch of his church in the same city where his headquarter resides; then one morning God asked him if he approved him opening a branch before he went for it and he was totally speechless observing the situation. Immediately he shut down the branch, recovered the Pastor back to headquarters but when the Lord asked Him to go on and open branches. His branches spread in all cities across the country and abroad.
There could be things the Lord is resisting you from that does not suggest he doesn’t love you. The only thing it implies is that probably He has not grounded you for the massive exploits and impacts. Yes, when He says stay sex-free until you are married, he didn’t say don’t have sex but He said marry first, else you break the altar of God. One of the abilities of following after God diligently is revealed on the aspect verse 6 of today’s scripture echoed.
“For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. The Lord knows the way of the righteous because He is the one that approves it. The Lord knows the ways of the righteous because He is with Him there. Don’t ever begin a journey that God didn’t approve for you.
Prayer Points:
- Oh God I thank you for your word to me.
- Lord Jesus I shall not be stopped half way.
- Jesus, give me the ability to trust you at all times, Amen!
- Oh God, I shall stand on the ground of glory and perfection.
