TOPIC: Craw but reach.
TEXT: (Luke 23 vs. 23-33)
I welcome you to the venue that host God’s assigned people of excellence. When last did you imagine the phrase that says, “Slow and steady.” You can never tell the distance a snail covers from sunset to sun rise”. Steadiness is the reason behind exploit.
I believe that William Channing was of a perfect idea when he said, “difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage, and the human spirit is to grow strong by conflict.” “One’s dignity may be assaulted, vandalized and cruelly mocked, but it can never be taken away unless it is surrendered” (Michael J. Fox). In life it is very import to note that every single step counts. A man’s favourite Donkey fell into a deep Precipice. He can’t pull it out no matter how hard He tried.
He then decided to bury it alive. Soil is poured on the Donkey from above. The Donkey feels he load and shakes it off and steps up. The more the load was poured, the higher it rose. By noon, the donkey was grazing in green pasture. The target of the destination you are aiming to reach should be the driver that drives you to your goal. Jesus saw the cross through the Calvary.
He almost considered giving up but realizing it was the will of God for Him he deliberately passed through it. Verse 33 of today’s scripture revealed, “And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the male factors, one on the right hand and the other on the left hand.” Jesus never wanted the cross personally but the journey began the night after the last supper. Irrespective of how weak or discouraged you are to carry out a task or begin it; start something, somewhere and somehow you will achieve the task. Never be silenced to begin what you believe in. “No man ever threw away life while it was worth keeping” (David Hume). It is prominent that you exist for that very mission your destiny needs not to resist.
