TOPIC: God is all I need.
TEXT: (Luke 15 vs. 11-20)
MESSAGE
Do you know that God is not just a supreme being but your wealthy Father? What exactly comes into your mind when you discover that your Dad is very wealthy; not just wealthy but very wealthy with influence and power over most prominent organizations in the world? To have a wealthy intelligent Dad is 60% clearance out of poverty. Yes, some person are wealthy but not intelligent and hereby producing poor children (Speaking from a psychological point of view).
Yea, grace of God is the root of all things but imagine you have such a Dad who has everything you may need or imagine but at a time you step out of his coverage hopping you can always do it on your own. There are some similar cases we may drive our attention to, have you seen a situation where a wealthy man dies young, leaving his children behind, perhaps with no or very few investments; even with investment, sometimes these children still suffers as though they were not born in a wealthy home. God is not just your owner but your supreme Daddy.
He owns everything beyond the walls of the earth. His strength and power covers the whole horizon of the universe down to the pit of hell. Acts 7 vs. 49: Described His possession as, “…. The most high God, possessor of heaven and earth”. And the same God is your Father… “…. Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation” (Psalm 89 vs. 26). Forget it; glory and greatness is with God alone. No matter how much he has given to you, you cannot do without Him.
No matter what He has supplied to you, you cannot do without your source. You have nothing on your own capable of making you to excel; your excellence is with God and Him alone. Don’t take a step without God. (Verse 18 of today’s scripture says, “I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee”. Reconcile with God now and welcome His Fatherhood.
