TOPIC: Be encouraged in the Lord.
TEXT: (Psalm 118 vs. 1-8), (2 Chronicle 17 vs. 5)
MESSAGE
I welcome you to God’s site of wonders, there is none like unto Him. He is the mighty man in battle. For every great achievement done within the circle of the earth, there is always a height of personal encouragement and reformation of plan. Humans are not machines, they are products of body, spirit and soul; this tells that human structure is emotionally built.
Machines does work and makes work easier; but for human to work on productivity there are times, he just works simply because He encourages himself to do that. “If you work on something you really care about, you don’t need to be pushed. The vision pulls you” (Steve Jobs). God in His place is our strength and pursuit. You could imagine there are times I could have a lot of things to do, in such moments to write COF could appear difficult but the Lord is the one who works out His purpose in us, yes diligence is accredited to His nature.
Man is not a machine therefore his achievement and productivity is given by the Almighty God. It is God who gives us any form of strength we could have. He gives us life and health to actualize usefulness in the direction of life He has determined for us. Someone like Charles Wesley who wrote three (3) hymns weekly for about 47 years making up to eight thousand (8000) hymns. To be continuous on the path of diligence and success is what God works in us. He confirmed this in today’s scripture verse 8 and second scripture respectively: saying, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man”.
I don’t know what is standing before you at this very moment of the year. The question is have you built your confidence in God to prove His unusual power. In today’s second scripture, It is the Lord who established the Kingdom in the hand of Jehoshaphat. He didn’t do it himself. Trust God to see his grace as never before.
Prayer Points: Worship God in your own way.
1. Oh God, I thank you for you grace and power.
2. Jesus, replace my strength with yours.
3. Faithful God I rely on your strength to reach where you are taking me not mine.
4. My God, show me your mighty hand and power this season.
