TOPIC: GREATNESS WITHOUT LIMITS
TEXT: Revelation 3 vs 1-8
Message
Today I introduce to you a God who opens a door and sets no limit on it. Kari Jobe said, “When the Lord opens a door, walk through it. If He doesn’t, just trust Him.” Greatness is with God.
We have kept uncountable records on the victories gotten in the past and in our records are the efforts and systems carried out by men which eventually led them to success; but most times our records have being proven wrong by those who carried out the same effort and systems yet were not able to encounter success. Personally, I so much believe in effort but not just effort placed on self but effort mounted on the ability of God.
Whatever you do in life do it with reference to what the Lord has said to us in verse 8 of today’s scripture. “I know thy works, behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name”. The meaning of that scripture is, before me God has set an open door, therefore as I approach the door through my walk (effort) nothing shall stand before me. Oh, I think Brother Roy Lessin made it clear here, on why you must be great with God, “God is bigger than time, dates and appointments.
He wants you to move through this day with a quiet heart, an inward assurance that He is in control, a peaceful continuity that your life is in his hands, a deep trust in His plan and purposes, and a thankful disposition, towards all that He allows. He wants you to put your faith in Him, not in a time table. He will put everything together, see to every detail… arrange every circumstance and order every step to bring to pass what He has for you.” Obviously you can do nothing of your own without God. Make your plans known to Him and your faith anchored on Him and definitely He will see you through and will set you free. “Don’t plan with what is in your pocket; plan with what is in God’s pocket” (Reinhard Bonnke).
