CHANNEL OF FULFILLMENT DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR JANUARY 13, 2022 (Be grateful unto the Lord.)
TOPIC: Be grateful unto the Lord.
TEXT: (Psalm 26 vs. 1 – 12)
Many times people tend to be selfish in what they do, they recall what God has not yet done for them and forgets all He has done. They complain about what they don’t have and forget about all the Lord has given them. One of the ways to open the door to the realms of God is by being grateful to Him for His faithfulness. One day a very wealthy man was walking on the road along the way he saw a begger on the side walk.
The rich man looked kindly on the begger and asked, “How did you become a begger?” The begger said sir, I have been applying for a Job for a year now but haven’t found any. You look like a rich man sir, if you will give me a Job. I will do something better. I want you to be my business partner. Let’s start a business together, said the rich man. The begger blinked hard. He didn’t understand what the older man was saying. “What do you mean sir? I owe a rice plantation. You could sell my rice in the market. I will provide you the sacks of rice. I will pay the rent for the market stall. I will even give you food allowance every day for the next 30 days. All you have to do is to sell my rice. And at the end of the month, as business partners, we will share in the profits. (Verse 7 of today’s scripture says):
“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works”. Let the world know what the Lord has done for you. Tell the world of the goodness of God to you. He has kept you alive. God does very few things for those who does not thank Him enough. Yes, to that fellow who has no limit of thanks to give God, God is willing to do many things for, in this season of fasting and prayers but also for those who will not only pray for the needs they have but also see the Miracles He gave them in the previous years.
- Oh God, I thank you for your word to me.
- Father, give me the grace to love and adore you.
- My God I shall triumph in my walk with you, Amen.
- I declare over myself that your praises will continually reside in my mouth, Amen!
