TOPIC: JUSTIFIED THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST
Bible Text: Romans 5:1-11
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1, NIV
MESSAGE
Justification is God declaring an ungodly man perfect. In justifying a man who is dead in trespass and sins, God says, “I give you the new life of Christ and now I see you just as perfect as I see the LORD Jesus Christ.” It is the act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to Him and counting them righteous.
On the part of man, faith in the saving grace and ability of Jesus Christ is the only way by which we can enjoy God’s provision of justification. In other words, God will justify only those who put their faith in Jesus Christ, not in the Law or works. No one can be made right with God through works or by keeping the Law. The only escape route God gave is faith in Christ.
*One of the benefits of justification is peace with God, a new relationship with Him that removes fear, guilt and shame. Working for God without being made right with Him is deception. You can only be made right through your faith in the finished work of Christ.*
Have you accepted God’s justification through faith in Christ? If you have not, you can do that right now.
Insight: You can be justified by believing in Him who raised Jesus our LORD from the dead.
Prayer: Father, help me to accept Your gift of justification through my faith in Christ.
