Topic: IN CHRIST BELIEVERS SHARE ABRAHAM’S FAITH
Bible Text: Romans 4:22-25
“The words ‘it was credited to him’ were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness – for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.” Romans 4:23-24, NIV
D.L. Moody says: “God has put the matter of salvation in such a way that the whole world can lay hold of it. All men can believe. A lame man might not be able to visit the sick; but he can believe.
A blind man by the reason of his infirmity cannot do many things; but he can believe. A deaf man can believe. A dying man can believe. God has put salvation so simply that young and old, wise and foolish, rich and poor, can believe if they will.”
As Abraham was justified because he believed in a God who can bring life from the dead, so shall any man or woman, irrespective of his status be justified if he or she believes in Him who raised Jesus from the dead.
The account of Abraham’s faith and justification was not only a history but written to show us the method by which he was justified and its usefulness for us.
We all have access to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, whom we are meant to believe in. Our faith must be constantly found in Christ irrespective of the prevailing situation around us.
Be a descendant of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ.
Insight: Justification becomes easy when your heart is open.
Prayer: I declare by faith that Jesus died for my sins and rose for my justification.
