TOPIC :ACTIONS OF FAITH IN DAILY LIFE
Bible Text: Hebrews 13:1-9, 17-19
“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” Hebrews 13:7, NIV
MESSAGE
The focus of Faith-Based Organisations is on putting their Christian faith into actions through humanitarian actions, empowering churches, organising discipleship programmes and the likes. To these Christian organisations, they are not Christians if they do not put their faith into practice every day of their lives.
This aligns well with the thought of the author of Hebrews in outlining the act of faith all Christians are expected to manifest every day. They include love for others, hospitality, care for those in prison and the maltreated, faithfulness in marriage, contentment, trust in God, praying and supporting church leaders, avoiding false teachings, and submission to authority. Without this, Christianity will only be a lip service.
Our lives must daily manifest the above acts of faith. We cannot claim to be Christians if our lives are focused on the things of the world. We should be different. Through our daily lives of faith in God, many can and will come to know Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever. The life of a believer is a life of faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. You cannot do the will of God except you have faith in Him. Develop your faith in God consistently from today.
Insight: Faith without deeds is dead- Apostle James (James 2:26)
Prayer: Lord, let others daily see Jesus in my life.
