TOPIC: PAUL, CONFIDENT IN THE MINISTRY
Bible Text: 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
“Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:1, NIV
The difference between a fake product and the original is that the original has the entire constituent in the right proportion and has the capacity to produce the expected result if used as prescribed. But the fake product has the content adulterated and can never produce the required or stated effect.
Paul ascertained the authenticity and integrity of the ministry which he received from God by mercy. With this assurance, he delivered the Gospel with the sincerity and truthfulness it deserves, because, the Gospel he preached has the capacity to translate people from death to life, therefore, if anyone was lost, it was not the fault of the Gospel, because it was clear, open, plain, glorious, and might be understood; thus, if they were lost, it was because their minds were blinded by the god of this world, and not the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:3- 4).
Your encounter with the Gospel should bring about transformation in your life. If you have not experienced the needed transformation, be sure to surrender to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be translated from death to life, and not the philosophy of men. Only the Gospel of Christ can transform.
Insight: Real transformation lies in the power of the Gospel.
Prayer: Flood my heart with the light of the transforming gospel, O Lord!
