Bible Text: 1 Samuel 16:14-23
TOPIC: DAVID’S MUSIC SOOTHES SAUL
“Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.” 1 Samuel 16:23, NIV
Jenny Crawford shared how he was afflicted with a throbbing pain of migraine. As he chose to praise the Lord every morning, he began to feel changes in his daily life and peace beyond his comprehension.
A demonically oppressed person lacks solace. Rather than for David to complain concerning the situation of Saul, he chose to praise and as he praise Saul feels relieved. Praise has a connection with your health. Singing anointed songs is an antidote for infirmities – physically, psychologically and spiritually.
It releases supernatural relief from torment; delivers and provokes divine healing. The availability of praise displaces satanic harassment, dissolves depression and ushers you into the protective presence of God. Praise does not only bring relief from satanic cruelty, but it also dismantles satanic shackles and provokes divine opening of every door of imprisonment and affliction.
The root of evil tendencies is attacked by praise. As a carrier of God’s presence, your life should exhibit praise at all times. In all situations, praise God with every fiber of your being with gratitude, and you shall see the wonders and glory of God.
Insight: Praise has a therapeutic effect on the system of man. It is a weapon of war.
Prayer: Every foundation of affliction, oppression and negative tendencies are neutralized as I praise God in Jesus name.
