Topic: STONES SHOUT OUT!
“’I tell you,’ He replied, ‘if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.’’’ Luke 19:40, NIV
Humans cannot imagine stones crying out like living beings. A group of believers went to a village for a gospel crusade.
But some of the villagers gave them the condition that unless they tell a nearby mountain to move as the Scripture say they can, they will not be allowed to hold the crusade. The believers prayed but the mountain remained. A few days later however, the government sent a bulldozer to come and level the mountain.
As Jesus prepared to face the cross, He was ushered into Jerusalem with pomp and pageantry by His disciples and multitudes.
They unanimously praised God in loud voices for the miracles they had seen Jesus perform. It was a celebration galore for the King of the whole earth. Out of jealousy, some Pharisees asked Jesus to stop the unprecedented praise celebration. But in response, He said stones will take over the festival of praise if men stopped.
No man can stop the workings of God. If man refuses to give God the praise and glory due to Him, God will resort to several other alternatives to fulfill His purpose. Don’t be replaced with something or someone less than you. Let the praises of God flow from you always.
Insight: Join others to praise God not to play the god.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to rejoice in You and celebrate Your name everywhere.
