Bible Text: Psalm 96
TOPIC: DECLARE GOD’S GLORY AMONG THE NATIONS
“Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Psalm 96:3, NIV
Rick Warren defines the glory of God thus: “It is who God is. It is the essence of His nature; the weight of His importance; the radiance of His splendor; the demonstration of His power; the atmosphere of His presence.” It is the desire of God that all creatures, especially man whom He created in His image live for His glory and manifest the same to the world.
Today’s scripture enjoins us to let the nations be aware of the glory of God. There are several ways God reveals His glory. They include: His marvelous deeds, His salvation, His justice, His supremacy over all other gods and His sustenance of the world. Everywhere we go, the glory of God can be seen through the creatures – fields, trees, seas who sing for joy.
As God’s chosen people, whatever God does in and through us should be ascribed to Him, not self. Your success in all areas of life should reflect God’s glory and give glory to God. Desire for fame should not be allowed to replace the glory due to the name of God. We must boldly declare the glory of God in our environment. Talk about God’s glory to someone and give Him glory today. God deserves all the glory. Hallelujah!!!
Insight: God does not share His glory with anyone but through everyone.
Prayer: Lord, let Your glory be revealed in my life and to the nations for Your glory alone.
