TOPIC: ENTERING THE PRESENCE OF JESUS
Bible Text: 2 Corinthians 4: 7-15
“Because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to Himself”
MESSAGE
2 Corinthians 4:14, NIV : An old mule fell into a deep pit one day. The owner of the mule and the pit felt that neither the mule nor the pit was worth saving, so he called on his neighbours to bury the mule and fill the pit with dirt.
While the neighbours kept throwing their dirt on the back of the mule in the well, the mule shook it off and stepped on it till he managed to climb out of the pit. Challenges are part of life, but hope in the ultimate goal is the motivation to keep afloat of the challenges.
Apostle Paul with the hope of resurrection was ready to face trials, and even die. Sustained by this assurance, the apostle went forth amidst persecutions and oppositions, knowing that the trials would soon end, and that he would be raised up in the morning of the resurrection, to a world of eternal glory.
The consolation of every believer is in the resurrection. Let the assured hope of resurrection sustain you when you are going through trials. Our agony of the moment is by far incomparable with the glory of His presence. Endure!
Insight: When everything feels like an uphill struggle, just think of the view from above.
Prayer: Lord, help me to build steps from the stones of challenges hurled at me daily.
