Bible Text: Ephesians 3:14-21
TOPIC: STRENGTHENING THE INNER BEING
“I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His spirit in your inner being.” Ephesians 3:16, NIV
I boarded a bus recently, judging by its neat body work, I thought in no distance time, we will reach our destination, but my guess was wrong as the engine lacked capacity to move the vehicle at the expected speed.
Often, we judge people by their achievements and positions in life. Some even erroneously teach that those who succeed in their careers are the real children of God, while those who are financially broke are sinners. No man should be judged by achievements or intellectual capacity but by how much he is rooted in Christ.
Paul prayed for the Ephesian believers that their faith be strengthened so that they may be able to grasp the depth of Christ’s love for them and that they may be filled to the measure of the fullness of Christ. A man without intimate relationship with Christ is bound to succumb to the pressures of life. For you to overcome daily challenges, you need strength through the reassurance of Christ’s love daily.
The more rooted you are in Christ’s love the more strength is supplied for you daily to overcome challenges. Come to Jesus for strength today and you will experience strength in your inner man.
Insight: You do not need a task equal to your strength; you only need strength beyond the task ahead of you.
Prayer: Lord, supply me the daily strength I need to conquer each day’s battles.
