SEEK DAILY (NBC) DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR FEBRUARY 25, 2022 (RIGHT CONDUCT)
TOPIC: RIGHT CONDUCT
Bible Text: Philippians 1:27-30
Memory Verse: “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ…” Philippians 1:27, NIV
Christians are expected to be impeccable in character. As Don Ruiz rightly noted, “impeccability of the Word can lead you to personal freedom, to huge success and abundance; it can take away all fear and transform it into joy and love.” In other words, when we live a transparent life in words and action, our lives attract God’s favor and blessings.
Apostle Paul knew that Christians face the daily temptation of circumventing the truth and bending the rules, and he charged them to desist from such lifestyle. The gospel reveals the righteousness of God and believers are expected to demonstrate this righteousness in their daily affairs. Of course, this will come with suffering and persecution but believers are to count such as an integral part of their association with Christ having in mind that ‘the end justifies the means’.
Is there any way your life is not bearing full testimony to the truth of the gospel? Do you speak with impeccability such that people around you could testify that you represent the kingdom of God? Remember that people no longer read the Bible to discover God; they rather want to see God through those who profess they belong to him. Let your light shines brightly today and be an inspiration to others.
Insight: Right conduct is the hallmark of authentic Christianity.
Prayer: Lord, I receive grace not to compromise the truth.
RBT Passage: Deuteronomy 12-15
