MESSAGE
Praise may be defined generally as an ascription of value or worth. Praise may be bestowed upon unworthy objects or from improper motives, but true praise consists in a sincere acknowledgment of a real conviction of worth. The real worth of God was displayed in this passage and the twenty-four elders who are seated with God fell on their faces and worshipped God. They beheld His awesomeness and they could not withhold their praise.
When we look around us, we see different things that show the awesomeness of God.
These things should also spur us to praise God. We may look at our lives and feel like we should be better, but the truth is we could have been in worse situation but God sustained us. The fact that our lives are preserved is a major reason to wake up every day with God’s praise on our lips. Look beyond the things that you lack and look at the things you have, then you will find reasons to praise God. Take a moment this morning to worship God for His awesome deeds in your life and watch Him exceed your expectations. Every day is another opportunity God has given us to praise Him. Therefore, live a life of His praise.
Insight: Praise opens doors for more blessing.
Prayer: Lord, I receive the grace to praise You always.
